GENERAL PRACTIONERS

natashapsychology is an APS and AHPRA Registered Clinical Psychologist that provides therapy for clients on the Gold Coast, QLD and Northern NSW for clients across the age span, including Infants, Toddlers, Children, Adolescents, Adults, Older Adults, Couples and Families.

natashapsychology is an approved Provider Panel Member for Australian Government Department of Social Services Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) Early Intervention Service. The clinic is also on the Australian Psychology Society Identified Practitioner Register for working with Autism/Aspergers and Pervasive Developmental Disorder and is experienced in assessing, diagnosing and working with children, adolescents and adults with thes diagnoses.

natashapychology is approved by Medicare for Department Veteran Affairs (DVA) patients and we have extensive experience in the area of severe and chronic PTSD, as well as the co-morbid Anxiety and Depression common within this cohort.

natashapsychology has interest in working with LGBTIQA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer, Asexual/ARomantic and +). We are a member of an Interdisciplinary Mental Health Network in Northern NSW, Gold Coast and Brisbane with a focus on LGBTIQA+ Mental Health. This locally driven network aims to promote collaborative practice amongst professionals and service providers who work within the Transformative Care Model to create treatment plans for the mental health needs of the LGBTIQA+ cohort and their families.

Areas of Interest: Anxiety (Social, Adjustment Disorder, GAD, Phobias, OCD, PTSD, Panic Disorder, Atypical), Depression (Major, Dysthymia, Psychotic, Atypical), Personality Disorders, Mood Disorders, Addictions (Technology, Alcohol, Drugs, Sexual etc.), Developmental/Transgenerational (Complex/Simple) PTSD, Child Neglect/Abuse, ASD, ADHD, ODD, CD, Behaviour & Learning Difficulties, Pain Management (including Somatic Symptoms), Complex Psychopathology including Reactive Attachment Disorder, Attachment/Bonding issues, BPAD, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociation, Self Harm, Suicidality (Acute & Chronic presentations).

Please find attached a table that outlines the range of services that are currently provided through this Private Practice on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW under the different funding avenues of ATAPS, Better Access, Mental Health Care Plans, (MHCP), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Health Funds, and Workers Compensation.

natashapsychology is an approved provider for the Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) for the following target groups:

​

* People who are not able to access Medicare funded mental health services;

* People who are less able to pay fees;

* Carers with a diagnosis of mental illness;

* Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities;

* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;

* People who are experiencing, or are at risk of, homelessness;

* Children with or at risk of developing a mental disorder;

* People in remote locations;

* People who have self-harmed or attempted suicide or are at risk of suicide;

* Women with perinatal depression;

natashapsychology also has an upcoming  workshop series being provided on the topic of Resolving Vilification (i.e., False Complaints, Defamation, and Bullying in the Schoolyard, Workplace and Social Media). This workshop focuses on Bullying in relation to Adults, Children and Adolescents and the impact that it has on their Families, and overall Mental Health. Extra workshop flyers and business cards have be mailed to you upon request.

 

Please notate that areas of nterest are the populations of LGBTIQA+, Refugees and Immigrants, as well as those suffering ASD and childhood behavioural issues such as ODD, CD, Anxiety and Depression

Additionally, natashapsychology is interested in working from your premises if that would make access to our services by your clients easier. We also provide Educational Presentations on common Behavioural and Developmental concerns encountered with each cohort and age group for in staff upskilling. Topics are listed above. We would be available to do single presentation or a series of presentations on a weekly or monthly basis.
